An innovative promotion by Vista’s Wave Waterpark has launched to motivate a $135,000 shopping spree over the next few months to benefit local Vista businesses.
Consumers who buy annual waterpark passes currently receive a 100 percent rebate on their purchase in the form of Vista Bucks gift cards. Those cards can be redeemed at dozens of eligible Vista restaurants and shops around town.
A single season pass is $75. A family pack of four season passes costs $280 ($70 per pass). Each person is limited to four passes. A valid email address also must be provided to issue the Vista Bucks gift card.
Passes can be purchased here. The digital Vista Bucks card is emailed once the purchase is confirmed.
VISTA BUSINESSES ACCEPTING VISTA BUCKS
Any business licensed and located in Vista that can accept credit cards is eligible to participate in the free Vista Bucks gift card program. Businesses must register and activate their accounts before they can accept Vista Bucks.
Once registered, each business receives a Mastercard activation code by email that must be entered into its credit card terminal. The code connects the gift card program to the merchant’s location so funds go directly into the business’ merchant account like any other credit card transaction.
Businesses can visit VistaBucksCard.com to register and learn more about the program. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Apply to Join" button. Once registered, follow the simple activation instructions in the email from "Yiftee," the gift card processor.
The rebate is offered through May 31, 2024, or whenever the funds for the $135,000 rebate program have been expended.
